Amy Seimetz
IMDB Entry
During my second year of living at 2358 Fulton Street in San Francisco, Amy Seimetz moved into the house, fresh out of college and more fun than a barrel of monkeys. Cute as a button, smart, endlessly creative, this stunning, red-haired Florida native popped up in my kitchen one afternoon and soon became my favorite housemate. We'd roam around San Francisco, going to coffee shops and restaurants where she could avoid eating dairy, and she came to the opening night of the first production of Speak To Me, which was awesome considering we'd only met a few months earlier. She had a great deal of interest in writing, acting and film-making, plus an extensive list of costuming credits for films, including Scarecrow, Jimbo's A Comin', The 17th Man and The Plunge. Her acting credits included Leaving Bagdad, Concession Confession, Glitter Girl, Waiting for the Light, The Measure of Love and Reason. Really, it was only a matter of time before I roped her into No Nude Men, first having her costume Troijka, which she did beautifully, and then casting her as Robin Swords in the premiere production of Love Egos Alternative Rock, in which she got to wear one of her own creations, a pin-stripe pants-suit with a giant open v-neck trimmed in pink ruffles and looking spookily like a huge vagina. Funny and adorable in what I later found out was her first stage role, Amy could dance, Amy had comic timing, and Amy looked good in pink. Not too shocking that she ran off to Hollywood almost immediately afterwards, where rumor has it she's been seen hanging around with Topher Grace and has gotten cast in a Western. Wherever she is, and whoever she is with, I hope she's doing well. I miss her creativity and talent and what it brought to No Nude Men productions, but mostly I just miss her hanging around the house.
