DaleAnn Winnie

DaleAnn made her Quicksilver debut playing Catherine in Arms
and the Man, but she and I worked together for the first and
only time on The Oresteia, where she was a positively fabulous
Clytemnestra. A long time performer with some excellent credits
to her name (Endgame, The Jewish Wife, The Man Who Came To Dinner,
The Mousetrap), DaleAnn really threw herself into the role,
learning all the classic Greek postures and everything, thoroughly
filling the fairly vacuous expanse of the Tucson Center for
the Performing Arts with her elegant and yet terrifying performance.
Ironically, I think her best bit came not in the show itself,
but in the Arizona Illustrated documentary about the show, where
she was being interviewed regarding the historic signifigance
of the trial at the end of Oresteia. At the close of her segment
she does this little wink at the reporter which is absolutely
priceless.
