Darren Roth
Darren made his theater debut playing Gaveston/Lightborn in the No Nude Men production of Edward II in San Francisco. He was very enthusiastic, very handsome, and very nervous every single night of the run. He died beautifully, and the night his parents came he got his neck broken about a foot away from his mother's lap, and she full on gasped and turned away. When playing Lightborn he would don a pair of mirrored glasses and adopt a voice we affectionately referred to as "Yoda gone horribly wrong." A really good example of how a beginning actor can be stunning just by giving it his all, I was quite saddened when Darren turned down the chance to create the role of Jean in Troijka, and unfortunately that's the last I've heard from him. Wherever he is, I hope he's continued to grow as an actor. He had a good foundation to start with.
