Duncan McGregor
Duncan was a mannerly, sophisticated old gentleman of Tucson who spent a year in the ranks of the Old Pueblo Playwrights and played the role of Lear in Rumpelstiltskin when it was performed in the 1997 New Play Festival. He was excellent, and by that I mean totally kick-ass: very nasty, very authoritarian, very cold, and kind of dapper in his gray suit. Sadly, he died a year later from cancer, but apparently having at least fulfilled one life-long dream- that of acting and writing for the stage. I'm very glad to have been a part of it, and still thankful for his brilliant rendering of the role.
