Evan Schaffer
Sort of a cross between a Neil Gaiman character and a Polanski heroine, Evan originated the role of the Angel in The Escapist, and read the part of Lilith, back when the character was just "Satan," in the workshop of A Random Act of Creation. She was, hands down, one of the coolest people in my high school, a true original with aspirations towards art, acting, writing, singing, music, film- pretty much anything and everything. When at the conclusion of my senior year we held an impromptu baseball game in the park, gleefully dubbed "the Bohemian Baseball Tournament," Evan attended and played centerfield, barefoot, smoking a cigarette the entire time and never once moving an inch in pursuit of a ball. She was that cool.
